How the Video Ended Up Online: Official Investigation

The daily newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that the National Assembly staff has been conducting an official investigation for over a month to determine how a video related to the incident involving MPs Vladimir Vardanyan and Mher Sahakyan ended up in media outlets connected to government officials. Questions arise as to whose directive it was and who organized the release of the video.

As is known, on March 31, a brawl occurred during a closed discussion in the National Assembly's State and Legal Affairs Committee, where opposition MP Mher Sahakyan struck ruling party MP Vladimir Vardanyan. Laura Antonian, who is responsible for freedom of information in the National Assembly, informed "Zhoghovurd" that an official investigation began on April 3.

In a follow-up inquiry, "Zhoghovurd" again reached out to Laura Antonian for comments, to which she responded: "The process is still ongoing in order to fully and comprehensively clarify the circumstances of the incident." However, it is worth noting that there may not be a significant reason for such an extended investigation; it should be sufficient to understand who accessed the security camera room or who instructed the removal of the day’s video recording. One month is certainly not necessary to accomplish this task.
