Key Provisions of Peace Agreement Agreed Upon in Washington, U.S. State Department
Delegations from Azerbaijan and Armenia reached an agreement on certain provisions of a potential peace agreement last week in Washington. This was stated by Vedant Patel, Deputy Spokesperson for the U.S. State Department.
“We believe that the discussions that took place last week were constructive. As you know, both countries have fundamentally agreed on some terms and now better understand each other's perspectives. We think that with additional goodwill, flexibility, and compromise, the agreement is within reach,” Patel said.
He noted that the delegations from Armenia and Azerbaijan have made significant progress in resolving complex issues.
