Thieves Steal $13,000 Worth of Shoes in Peru, But Only Right Feet

In the city of Wankayo, Peru, three individuals broke into a store and stole over 200 pairs of sports shoes, all for the right foot. This is reported by the BBC.

The store owner estimates the value of the stolen merchandise at more than $13,000, despite the fact that the thieves won't be able to sell them. Security cameras recorded the moment of the theft. The culprits broke the store's lock around midnight and used a tricycle to carry away the boxes of shoes.

“We have gathered evidence at the crime scene. What is unusual about this theft is that only right-foot shoes were stolen. With the help of video footage and fingerprints, we will be able to find these individuals,” quoted the local police chief, Edouan Diaz, by the BBC.
