“Our goal is to guarantee the rights of Armenia and Armenians”: Czech Prime Minister
“The Czech Republic can support and will support peace initiatives and efforts that will bring stability to the region,” stated Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala during a joint press conference with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
He emphasized that recognition of Armenia's and Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty is of fundamental importance. “A step has been taken here in Prague. This can be considered a historic milestone in the relationship between the two countries.”
According to him, it would not be helpful to assess “who violates what” regarding the current situation. Fiala stated that their goal is to achieve stability and lasting peace in the region, adding, “This means guaranteeing the rights of Armenia and Armenians.”
