VIDEO: Sandstorm in the USA Causes 6 Deaths and at Least 30 Injuries
A sandstorm in the state of Illinois, USA, has resulted in 6 fatalities and at least 30 injuries due to multiple accidents. This was reported by Reuters, citing state police.
Shortly after 11:00 AM local time (8:00 PM Yerevan time), a massive collision occurred on one of the highways in southern Illinois. According to the agency, between 40 to 60 vehicles, including several trucks, were involved in the crashes.
About 30 individuals with injuries were transported to local hospitals. The exact number of fatalities has not been confirmed. It is known that two trucks caught fire during the incident.
Several hours after the accident, the highway was closed in both directions.
