Video: Chief of General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces on Border Situation

“I assess the current border situation as relatively stable, but there are violations of the ceasefire regime recorded in the directions of Syunik and Gegharkunik by the adversary. The purpose of these violations is to keep the situation tense, but it is under our control,” stated Edward Asryan, Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, during a press briefing with journalists in Jermuk.

He also addressed the situation created around the village of Tegh, saying: “Yes, in the direction of Tegh, the Armenian Armed Forces are already in a state of contact with the adversary. We also have established our frontline and positional system, which we are perfecting and improving. Day by day, we are carrying out relevant work to enhance our positions and gain advantages over the adversary in certain directions.”
