Video: Before They Shot, We Didn’t; Now We Will Shoot If They Shoot – Kocharyan

In the Lachin corridor, the checkpoint established by Azerbaijan is located within the area of responsibility of Russian peacekeepers, which is a strategic partner of Armenia. This was stated today by Andranik Kocharyan, the chairman of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Defense and Security, during a press briefing with reporters.

Referring to the recent incident on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border that resulted in a loss for the Armenian armed forces, Andranik Kocharyan said: “We are shooting too. The most important thing is to acknowledge that what is ours is ours. If they shoot, we will shoot; before they would shoot, we would not. They would come, and we would vacate positions. If previously we were suffering more losses, it's not the case now. Let’s be constructive around our army, and if we are making reforms, let that become a reality sooner rather than later. That means education, armament, governance, and patience.”
