Belgord Explosion Resulted from Accidental Bomb Drop, Says Russian Defense Ministry
The explosion that occurred in Belgorod, Russia, was caused by the accidental drop of a bomb from a Su-34 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces. This was announced by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The incident damaged residential buildings, but no casualties were reported. An investigation is underway.
According to local authorities, two individuals were injured as a result of the explosion. One woman was admitted to City Hospital No. 2 with moderate traumatic brain injury. The second woman, who sustained minor injuries, declined hospitalization.
