Artsakh's Ministry of Internal Affairs Issues Statement
The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan has disseminated yet another disinformation today, on April 21, claiming that military supplies have been transported from Armenia to Artsakh under the escort of Russian peacekeepers. This was reported by the police service of the Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"The reported movement is a case of internal cargo transportation for humanitarian purposes, filmed during an earlier time period. Moreover, the video published by them shows a water truck, which certainly cannot transport weapons. Thus, Azerbaijan is misrepresenting humanitarian cargo transfers and internal movements as if they were the transportation of military equipment and ammunition, misleading the international community. On the other hand, Azerbaijani armed forces almost daily violate the ceasefire regime, even firing at civilians in Artsakh, disrupting agricultural activities," the statement reads.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs once again informs that the only interstate road from Armenia to Artsakh has been closed by Azerbaijan since December 12, 2022. The movement of people and cargo through that road is strictly limited to humanitarian purposes, carried out solely by Russian peacekeepers and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
