Residents of the Firdusi neighborhood in Yerevan held another protest today, April 21, in front of the government building, demanding proper compensation for their properties.

It should be noted that back in 2015, the government decided to demolish several houses and warehouses in the Firdusi neighborhood based on a priority public interest. Most residents received compensation; however, there are some who deem the compensation amounts disproportionate and refuse to leave their homes.

Last week, on April 14, the residents were promised by the government that they would receive a response to the owners’ letter sent nearly a month ago by April 18, but they have yet to receive any reply. Today, they are demanding a response to their letter and are voicing concerns about the violation of property owners' rights.
