More than 600 people killed in clashes in Sudan

More than 600 people have been killed in Sudan since clashes broke out between the army and rapid response forces on April 15. This information was reported on Thursday by Sudan’s Minister of Health, Haqsam Muhammad Ibrahim.

"More than 600 people have died in the clashes in Sudan," said the head of the Ministry of Health, as quoted by Al Hadath TV. Ibrahim added that 125 hospitals have been severely affected by the fighting that took place in Khartoum.

As Ibrahim noted, the ministry is currently facing significant difficulties in obtaining assistance from abroad. He stated, "If the war continues, the country will suffer from the spread of diseases and epidemics."

The Sudanese minister urged the warring parties to cease attacks on hospitals and medical facilities. "Medical institutions must be protected," emphasized the head of Sudan's Ministry of Health.
