Iranian Forces Force US Submarine to Surface

Iran's naval forces have compelled the US Ohio-class submarine, Florida, to surface while it was attempting to transit the Strait of Hormuz. This was reported by Lenta.ru, citing statements from the Iranian naval commander, Amir Shahrami.

“This submarine was approaching the Strait of Hormuz in complete silence, which was noticed by the Iranian Fateh submarine, which forced the American submarine to surface,” military officials stated, adding that after this incident, Florida was compelled to change its course and leave the waters of the strait.
