Sotk Mine Halts Operations for Fifth Day Due to Gunfire
Operations at the Sotk mine have been suspended since April 15 due to ongoing gunfire from Azerbaijani forces. This information was confirmed in a conversation with NEWS.am by the GeoProMining Gold Company.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia reported that on April 16 at approximately 22:50, units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire using various calibers of firearms toward Armenian positions located near Sotk. According to the statement, there were no losses reported on the Armenian side.
As of 10:00 AM, the situation at the front line is relatively stable.
