Israel to Supply Greece with Orbiter 3 Drones

The Israeli company Aeronautics Defense Systems Ltd will supply Greece with Orbiter III unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) as part of a $404 million contract for the purchase of Israeli Spike anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), Defense News reported on Tuesday.

According to Aeronautics, “when Orbiter III detects, recognizes, and identifies a target, Spike missiles launched from air, sea, or land can swiftly strike the target.”

Under the terms of the contract, Greece will receive dozens of such UAVs. The Orbiter III can remain airborne for up to six hours, has a payload capacity of 32 kg, and can be equipped with various devices. It can be used for surveillance and reconnaissance, including in adverse weather conditions and in the absence of GPS signals.
