US to Assist Azerbaijan in Military Pilot Training

During a working visit to the United States, Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Defence and Commander of the Air Force, Ramiz Tairov, met with the Deputy Director of the National Guard Bureau, Lieutenant General Mark Sasseville at the Pentagon.

According to Azerbaijani media reports, the parties held a detailed exchange of views on the current state of military cooperation under the "Partnership Program," further development of work in that direction, military pilot training, and other areas of mutual interest.

Considering the ongoing encroachments on the sovereign territory of Armenia, the US assistance in training Azerbaijani military personnel raises numerous questions.
