Accomplice in Tatarsky's Murder Has Travelled to Turkey via Armenia

The organizers of the terrorist act in St. Petersburg and the murder of Vladlen Tatarsky (real name: Maxim Fomin) were agents of Ukrainian special services, including Russian opposition members located abroad, as reported by the Russian FSB's public relations center.

"It has been established that Maxim Fomin's murder was prepared together with Darya Trepova by Yuri Denisov, a member of a Ukrainian sabotage-terrorist group, a citizen of Ukraine born in 1987, who transferred an explosive device concealed under a military correspondent's plaster bust to him via a rapid delivery service in Moscow," the statement said.

According to the FSB, Denisov reached the Moscow region from Kyiv through Latvia on the orders of the Ukrainian special services in February 2023, where he gathered information about military correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky's lifestyle and places he frequented. "For this purpose, he acquired a car and rented an apartment near his residence. After the terrorist attack that occurred on April 3, Denisov left Russia for Turkey via Armenia," the FSB noted.

Recall that on April 2, an explosion occurred in one of the cafes in St. Petersburg, resulting in the death of Russian military correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky. Russian Darya Trepova is suspected of carrying out the terrorist act, having gifted a statuette to Tatarsky (which contained a bomb). Trepova was arrested in her rented apartment in St. Petersburg almost a day after the explosion.

As reported by the Russian FSB, Darya Trepova carried out the terrorist attack following calls for subversive action from the leadership of the "Foundation for Fighting Corruption" (which has been recognized as a foreign agent and banned in Russia). Notably, the names of the foundation's leaders Leonid Volkov and Ivan Zhdanov are circulating. Criminal cases have been initiated in Russia for public calls to terrorism and extremism, and they have been placed on the wanted list.
