Yerevan and Baku Accept Proposal: Zakharova on Conducting Negotiations in Russia
Yerevan and Baku have accepted the proposal to hold the next round of negotiations in the Russian Federation. This was announced by the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
Zakharova noted that Russia is not undermining its efforts to support the preparation of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia. “The partners have accepted our proposal to hold the next round of bilateral negotiations on our territory. We will inform you about the timelines and specific measures once everything is finalized,” said Zakharova.
It is noteworthy that the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry referred to the recent Azerbaijani military aggression in the village of Tegh, located in the Syunik province, and the Armenian-Azerbaijani clashes. Zakharova specifically stated: “Representatives of the Russian border guard forces have contacted both the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides and taken steps for de-escalation. What happened once again shows that Baku and Yerevan must show restraint and consistently implement the comprehensive decisions of the trilateral agreements.”
