We Currently Have No Information on the EU Observers' Report Regarding the Tegh Incident: Mirzoyan
Yesterday, information regarding gunfire from various Azerbaijani weapons towards the positions and servicemen of the Armenian Armed Forces in Tegh was communicated to the EU mission. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, during a Q&A session with the government in the National Assembly.
He reminded that today the EU press service announced that the Armenian side informed the mission about yesterday's incidents, noting that they were not present at the location during the incident.
“However, they have conducted their observations and have a reporting mechanism that is reported non-publicly to the EU foreign service in Brussels. We currently have no information on what this report contains,” said the minister.
Mirzoyan noted that in such situations, all international partners, including the EU and EU member states, are immediately informed. He stated that the Armenian side expects a prompt response from international partners regarding the issue.
It should be reminded that Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire towards the Tegh community around 16:00 on April 11, targeting Armenian servicemen conducting engineering works, prompting a response from the Armenian side.
At around 17:30, Azerbaijani Armed Forces units used mortar systems. As a result of the Azerbaijani provocation, the Armenian side has reported 4 fatalities and 6 injuries.
