The U.S. Must Hold Aliyev Accountable, Says Pallone
Frank Pallone, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, has characterized the events that took place in Armenia on April 11 as yet another senseless provocation by Azerbaijan. He made this statement in a post on Twitter.
“Azerbaijan has repeatedly initiated unprovoked and aggressive actions in the sovereign territory of Armenia, which destabilize the region and make peace nearly impossible. The U.S. must hold Aliyev accountable,” wrote Pallone.
It is noteworthy that on April 11, at around 16:00, Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire in the direction of Armenian soldiers engaged in engineering works in the Tegh community, prompting the Armenian side to respond. Around 17:30, Azerbaijani troops used mortar systems. As a result of the Azerbaijani provocation, the Armenian side has reported 4 fatalities and 6 injuries.
