Macron's Visit to China a Sign of Weakness, Says Former UK Prime Minister
Former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss has stated that French President Emmanuel Macron's recent visit to China is a "sign of weakness" as the French leader seeks support from Beijing to halt the Ukrainian war.
In her speech, Truss emphasized that any attempt by Western leaders to convince Xi Jinping would be misguided. She is expected to urge the UK government to exert greater economic pressure on Beijing, as the Chinese are "building and strengthening their armaments" and "threatening a free and democratic" Taiwan.
