Armenian Side Has Yet to Evacuate the Injured from the Shooting Area

Intense gunfire has occurred for 15-20 minutes between Armenian and Azerbaijani positions in the village of Tegh, Syunik Province. Reports indicate that as a result of the gunfire, the Armenian side has suffered three fatalities and multiple injuries, according to preliminary data.

Initial information suggests that the wounded include the commander of the Special Military Corps, Armen Gyozalyan, who is currently undergoing surgery. It has been communicated that the number of casualties may increase, as the Armenian side has not yet succeeded in evacuating the injured from the shooting area.

As reported by «Hraparak», it should be noted that since March 31, Azerbaijan has occupied around 80 hectares of pasture and garden land near the village of Tegh and is conducting engineering work to establish positions in the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia. The initiator of the shooting was the Azerbaijani side, which fired upon our forces engaged in engineering work. Armenian soldiers returned fire, and there are also casualties on the Azerbaijani side.
