Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Russia, Syria, Iran, and Turkey Postponed

The meeting of the foreign ministers of Russia, Syria, Turkey, and Iran has been postponed until May. This was stated by Alexander Efimov, the Russian ambassador to Syria, in an interview with the Arab newspaper Al Watan.

It was originally scheduled to take place on Monday, April 10. Now, according to Efimov, it has been moved to the beginning of May.

"Contacts and consultations continue to achieve positive results on this matter among the interested parties," he assured.

The ambassador added that Russia will continue to work to ensure that the quadrilateral meeting takes place. According to him, the parties cannot resolve all agenda items in one or several rounds of negotiations.

"This is a long road, but we are moving step by step in this direction," Efimov concluded.

In early March, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu announced the intention to hold a quadrilateral meeting. However, no specific timeframe for the negotiations was mentioned at that time.
