Peskov Comments on Macron's Words

Russia's presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has commented on French President Emmanuel Macron's remarks during a broadcast on 'Russia-1'. Macron expressed his opposition to the deployment of nuclear weapons in other countries, calling it a 'fierce criticism of the United States.'

'We haven't heard such a fierce critique of the United States from the French president for a long time,' Peskov stated.

Earlier, during a press conference with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Macron said, 'Nuclear weapons should not be deployed outside of the countries that possess them, especially in Europe.'
