Two Days After the Russians Departed, Azerbaijanis Advanced: Member of the Teg Community Council

Currently, almost 80-100 hectares of Teg village land are under the control of Azerbaijanis. They are in charge of that area.

This was stated by Argam Hovsepyan, the leader of the 'Living Land' faction in the Teg community of Syunik province, in an interview with Tert.am.

“Previously, there were Russian soldiers stationed there; they left two days ago, after which the Azerbaijanis advanced, raised their flag on our arable lands, and are gradually constructing their outposts. They are actively conducting engineering works,” Hovsepyan said.

In his opinion, it will be extremely difficult to remove the Azerbaijanis from that area. “They will not retreat; they need to be pushed back. True, they are currently keeping calm, but there is naturally anxiety among the residents, as these people are unable to approach their cultivated lands. The only way to push them back is with force. It is shameful for a Armenian that they come and settle on our lands every time,” Argam Hovsepyan stated.
