I Will Take a Risk by Proposing to Halt Military Operations in Ukraine: Lukashenko
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has suggested a halt to military operations in Ukraine and the declaration of a ceasefire in a message to the people and parliament. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
“We need to stop now, before the escalation begins. I will take a risk by proposing to halt military operations... to declare a ceasefire without troop movements, the right to reposition forces, transfer of weapons, ammunition, and military equipment,” said the head of state.
According to him, if the West tries to use the ceasefire for its own purposes, Russia is obligated to utilize the entire capacity of the military-industrial complex and the army to prevent the escalation of the conflict.
Lukashenko emphasized that the only way to end the conflict is through negotiations without preconditions.
