Kremlin Responds to Lukashenko's Proposal to Cease Hostilities in Ukraine

The call by Alexander Lukashenko to declare a ceasefire in Ukraine will be discussed next week by the leaders of Russia and Belarus, Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

The President of Belarus had previously proposed to declare a ceasefire in Ukraine without the right to move troops or transfer weapons and equipment, as well as emphasized the necessity of immediate negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv.

Peskov stated, 'The Kremlin does not find it appropriate to compare the plans for resolution in Ukraine proposed by the Presidents of China and Belarus.'
