Peskov: Biden's 'Summit for Democracy' Is an Attempt to Teach Others a Lesson
Russia's presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that the 'Summit for Democracy' organized by U.S. President Joe Biden is an attempt to teach lessons to others, and it is a sovereign matter for countries to participate in that lesson.
Journalists reminded that for the second time, 'Armenia,' considered close to Russia, participates in the summit. 'The United States, regardless of anything, still claims to be the so-called global teacher of democracy. And now here is the second attempt to gather a number of countries as students to teach moral lessons. Those who wish to participate in this lesson is their sovereign matter. However, attempts to divide states into first and second class are now perceived with a smile by many,' Peskov said, emphasizing that Moscow does not consider the summit a serious event.
Today and tomorrow, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is also scheduled to speak at the online summit.
