«I Got Angry, But She Did Well»: Alen Simonyan on His Mother's Behavior
The Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, addressed the recent video involving his mother's participation during the broadcast of the show 'Out of Character'. In response to the question, 'What was your reaction when your mother showed an obscene gesture towards the protesters from the balcony?', he stated, 'I got angry and told her that she should be more restrained considering we are under scrutiny.'
He added, 'Later, she told me that she had been insulted from below. I think she should have restrained herself, knowing that this would be exploited just for the sake of creating another story about “Alen Simonyan.” But she did well in whatever she did.'
