Armen Begoyan, the director of the Yerevan Municipality's "Greening and Environmental Protection" organization, assured journalists and citizens in the Cascade area that the cut trees will be replaced tomorrow with more beautiful and resilient trees.

“We will plant tomorrow, and in a few days you will see this entire street in bloom. We are not reinventing the wheel; the same species of trees that have thrived in Yerevan for decades are being brought in. They are simply more ornamental, functional varieties that have a high coefficient for air purification. We are also bringing in lime trees, but in a different, spherical variety,” he said.

According to Armen Begoyan, the newly planted trees will already have some foliage at the moment of planting.
