Pashinyan and Blinken Hold Phone Conversation: Details
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has had a phone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken. The Prime Minister's office reports that the interlocutors discussed issues related to the humanitarian crisis created by Azerbaijan's illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor.
Nikol Pashinyan and Antony Blinken exchanged thoughts on the prospects for normalizing Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and opening communication routes in the region. The U.S. Secretary of State reaffirmed his call for the immediate reopening of the Lachin corridor and emphasized that the U.S. is ready to continue supporting these processes.
During the phone conversation, Prime Minister Pashinyan expressed concern about the recent increase in aggressive rhetoric from Azerbaijan.
