Protest Held in Front of Iranian Embassy in Azerbaijan
Relatives of Farid Safarli, who went missing in Tehran, organized a protest in front of the Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan. He had traveled to Iran in early March to meet with an Iranian girl, after which communication with him was lost.
While in Iran, he asked his friends to purchase a return ticket for the Tehran-Istanbul-Berlin flight for him.
“However, at Istanbul Airport, we were informed that he did not take this flight. I have had no news of my son since Friday. He may have been arrested or something else has happened,” said Farid's mother.
Previously, official Baku had delivered a note to Tehran. Similarly, Baku is politicizing a domestic crime that occurred at the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran, which resulted in the killing of the security chief of the diplomatic mission.
