We Are Preparing to Start Mass Protests to Bring Western-oriented Government, Says Former Georgian Interior Minister
We are preparing to start mass protests; our main goal is to change the government and bring a pro-Western, pro-Ukrainian administration to Georgia, said Vano Merabishvili, the former Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, on March 10 at a discussion in the Ukrinform media center on the global initiative titled 'Save Misha'.
"We are preparing to start mass protests, and I am confident that Georgian society will support us. Of course, our primary goal is to change the government and bring a pro-Western, pro-Ukrainian government to Georgia so that Ukraine does not stand alone, as we are practically allies. We must stand together and celebrate not only the victory against Russia but also joining the European Union and NATO. I am sure that this spring and summer will be very interesting regarding the resolution of Georgia’s issues," Merabishvili stated, as quoted by Georgia's First Channel.
