We Have Not Yet Exited the Local Outbreak of Measles: Avanesyan

Every day, the statistics of new measles cases are published, and we are seeing an increase in numbers. This was stated by Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan during a conversation with journalists.

"At this moment, we have not yet exited the local outbreak framework, but by the end of the week, we will have a clear understanding of the trend of the outbreak," Avanesyan said.

Referring to the claims of former Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan that the measles case was not brought from abroad but transmitted through one of the infected healthcare workers, Avanesyan mentioned that she had presented the results of the entire epidemiological investigation during the press briefing.

"Most of the infected are children; we have citizens who have received the first dose, but are still infected. Their condition is quite good," Avanesyan added.
