Mercedes Found in Agstev River; 42-Year-Old Driver Hospitalized

On February 26, at 07:53, a call was received at the Tavush regional crisis management center reporting an accident on the Dilijan-Ijevan highway with casualties.

A firefighting unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was found that a Mercedes-Benz E320 (driver G.M., born in 1981) had left the roadway on the 104th km of the M-4 highway, ending up in the Agstev River.

Before the rescuers arrived, the driver and passenger H.M. (born in 1977) were extracted from the vehicle with local assistance. The driver was hospitalized at Dilijan Medical Center, where doctors deemed his condition satisfactory.

Rescuers deactivated the vehicle, closed the gas cylinder valve, and secured the area.
