Son Breaks Household Items, Threatens to Kill; Father Stabs Him in the Neck

The investigation into the criminal case initiated regarding the murder of a son by his 65-year-old father in the Armavir region has concluded at the regional investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee.

The investigation has revealed factual data indicating that on July 24, 2022, around 17:30, during a dispute between the 65-year-old man and his son in one of the houses in Gay village of Armavir region, the son began to break household items and made threats to kill his father. The father's patience ran out due to his son's behavior, and he took a kitchen knife from the kitchen with the intent to unlawfully take a life and stabbed his son in the neck area.

The son fell down, but after getting up, he ran into the street and asked a local resident to take him to the hospital, where he later died from the injuries sustained.

Based on the factual data obtained during the investigation, charges have been brought against the 65-year-old man under part 2, point 9 of Article 155 of the RA Criminal Code. He has been taken into custody as a preventive measure. The investigation has been completed, and the materials of the case, with the accusatory conclusion, have been sent to court for substantive examination.
