Araik Harutyunyan to Announce Ruben Vardanyan's Dismissal

The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan, has announced that he will deliver a special address on February 23. According to the 'Zhoghovurd' newspaper sources in Artsakh, Harutyunyan is preparing to announce the dismissal of the State Minister Ruben Vardanyan in his address, provided no significant developments occur in the meantime.

Moreover, sources informed us that Harutyunyan intended to make this announcement on February 17 but decided to postpone it until after the holidays due to the 35th anniversary of the Artsakh movement on February 20.

Our sources from Artsakh noted that the new likely candidate for the State Minister position is Gurgen Nersisyan, the Chief Prosecutor of Artsakh. It is worth mentioning that the appointment of the State Minister is at the discretion of the president, who has the authority to appoint and dismiss the head of the Artsakh government.
