Ararat Mirzoyan's Visit to Turkey Is Historic: Klaar
The EU's Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, Toivo Klaar, considers the visit of Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to Turkey to be historic. He expressed his views on Twitter.
“The visit of Armenia’s Foreign Minister to Turkey is historic, following Armenia's decision to help a neighboring country in need. We hope this marks the beginning of new developments in Armenian-Turkish relations,” Klaar wrote.
It is noteworthy that Ararat Mirzoyan is heading to Turkey today, where he will meet with Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. The Armenian Foreign Minister will also meet with the Armenian rescue team conducting search and rescue operations in the city of Adıyaman, which was affected by the earthquake.
This marks Mirzoyan's second visit to Turkey during his tenure, having previously attended a diplomatic forum in Antalya in March 2022, where he negotiated with Çavuşoğlu.
