Italy Plans to Completely Halt Russian Gas Supplies
Italy is planning to permanently stop Russian gas supplies by the end of 2023. This was stated by Industry Minister Adolfo Urso in an interview with Il Messaggero.
“This year we will completely abandon gas supplies from Russia, and in the future, we will be able to provide gas to other countries and become a gas hub,” Urso said.
According to him, two complexes currently under construction in Piombino and Ravenna will be operational by summer and will produce 10 billion cubic meters of gas.
Earlier, the newspaper Kommersant reported that Italy has decided to expand gas supply contracts with North African countries, particularly with Libya.
