This morning, the 'Armenia' faction initiated a closed discussion in the National Assembly, with participation from the 'Civil Contract' party and Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan. The situation, challenges, and urgent measures concerning the Armed Forces of Armenia were discussed.

In a conversation with journalists, Civil Contract MP Andranik Kocharyan elaborated that the Defense Minister presented the comprehensive package of reforms for the army to the opposition. When asked whether the opposition had called for Papikyan's resignation, Kocharyan responded, 'What resignation? What was there to say? Papikyan left no open questions.'

Commenting on the effectiveness of closed discussions, Kocharyan remarked, 'Such discussions on these issues are very effective, as in open cases, everyone wants to show you and the public that 'we are the most informed'. These meetings in this format are the most appropriate,' he stated, evaluating the talks held with the opposition.
