Russian Citizens Lead Foreigners in Real Estate Transactions in Armenia
According to data published by the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre of Armenia, out of 204,910 real estate transactions in Armenia in 2022, 4,936 were conducted by foreign citizens, reports Sputnik Armenia.
In the last year, they purchased 1,763 real estate properties in Armenia and sold 2,968. Additionally, in 187 transactions, both the buyer and seller were foreign citizens.
Official statistics indicate that Russian citizens rank first among foreigners who bought and sold real estate in Armenia. They purchased 1,207 properties and sold 2,380.
Notably, Russian citizens engaged in almost double the number of sales compared to purchases. In second place is the United States, whose citizens bought 240 properties in Armenia and sold 274.
European citizens hold the third position, with 245 properties purchased and 198 sold last year.
