VIDEO: We Need to Investigate and Understand What is Happening in the Lachin Corridor. The Issue of Blockaded Artsakh Discussed in Canada

Let us note that today we are dealing with a crisis that is real, and we have sufficient evidence. Speaking about the blockade of the Lachin Corridor, Canadian Parliament Member and Secretary of Foreign Affairs Robert Oliphant stated: "We need to deeply investigate the essence of the issue, the reasons hidden behind this crisis, and understand what is happening on that road, what is right and what is wrong."

He noted that the discussions will explore issues related to the provision of food and medicine to the Armenian population of Artsakh, as well as electricity and gas supply questions.

He also added that his country seeks peace. Canada supports the negotiation process for the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, including mediation by Russia and the EU.

Oliphant pointed out that Canada supports all UN Security Council resolutions regarding Artsakh, respects Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, but the aforementioned issues related to the Lachin Corridor must be thoroughly examined during the discussions.
