How Much Money and How Many Properties is the Prosecutor's Office Demanding to Seize from Seyran Ohanyan?
The Prosecutor's Office is demanding to seize 1 billion 78 million drams and real estate from Seyran Ohanyan. Today, the trial continued at the Anti-Corruption Court regarding the seizure of illegally acquired property from Seyran Ohanyan, his wife, Rouzanna Khachatryan, their associates Anna Badalyan, and foreign citizen Jacques Pierre Fauvo, as presented by the General Prosecutor's illegal property acquisition division.
Only Seyran Ohanyan attended the court session without his associates and lawyers. Ohanyan objected to the lawsuit against him, stating that he did not illegally enrich himself and that the mentioned properties do not belong to him.
“The term 'illegally seized' is unacceptable to me. I object and propose that the initial motion be approved to allow for a thorough examination of the case, as there are aspects that are new to me,” Ohanyan said during the court session concerning the alleged illegal property of Seyran Ohanyan at the Anti-Corruption Court.
According to the prosecutor's office, a Lexus car, two properties in the center of Yerevan, a house in the Vahagni district, a summer house on the shores of Lake Sevan, and other real estate should be seized from Ohanyan and his associates for the benefit of the Republic of Armenia.
