Preliminary Reports Indicate Gasoline Found in Containers at Fire Scene, Says Armenian Military Prosecutor
Containers filled with fuel have been discovered at the scene of the fire in the Gegharkunik military unit's barracks, with initial reports indicating that it is gasoline. This was stated by Armenia's Military Prosecutor Grigor Elizbaryan during a broadcast on Public Television.
“Investigators have questioned two or three servicemen, including those currently in the hospital. We are now in the phase of conducting examinations. All officials linked to the incident who have at least neglected or failed to properly fulfill their responsibilities as mandated by law and regulations will be held accountable. It does not matter what insignia they may hold; there are no authorities that can evade responsibility,” said the military prosecutor.
