Investigations Conducted in Houses of ARF Members

The spokesman for the Investigative Committee, Gor Abrahamyan, made a post on his Facebook page regarding the searches conducted in the houses of ARF members. "Considering the questions raised in separate media publications today and the verbal inquiries received from the media regarding the search of G. Vardanyan's house, I find it necessary to inform the following: In August 2022, within the framework of a criminal case initiated under the second part of Article 236 of the RA Criminal Code at the Investigative Division of Masis of the Ararat Regional Investigative Department, searches are being conducted at several addresses related to several individuals based on the respective court decision, as well as other investigative actions are being carried out. No other information will be provided, depending on the interests of the preliminary investigation," he stated.

As previously reported, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, a member of the National Assembly from the "Armenia" faction and representative of the ARF Supreme Body, informed that "this morning around 7 a.m., representatives of law enforcement agencies invaded the apartments of several ARF members in the Ararat region and Yerevan under the pretext of conducting searches, and there are individuals who have been detained."
