Accident Occurs on the Only High-Voltage Line Supplying Artsakh from Armenia
On January 9, 2023, at 14:35, an accident was recorded on the 33rd kilometer of the Goris-Stepanakert 110 kV high-voltage line, which is the only line supplying Artsakh from Armenia. This was reported by Artsakhenergo.
According to data recorded by the equipment, the accident occurred in the Agavno-Berdzor section. Due to the destructive stance of the Azerbaijani side, it is currently impossible to conduct an inspection and organize emergency recovery work in the specified area. Therefore, a decision has been made to supply electricity to the republic through local production stations with relevant restrictions.
Given the current situation, rolling blackouts are being implemented in the Republic starting January 10. You can receive periodic updates regarding this from the Artsakhenergo website (artsakhenergo.am) and their Facebook page, as well as from announcements by public television and radio.
To avoid potential additional outages, please use electricity as efficiently as possible.
