Erdogan and Assad May Meet: What We Know
The time and place for negotiations between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad have yet to be determined, as it will depend on consultations at the level of the foreign ministers of the two countries. This was announced on Tuesday by a representative of the Turkish leader, Ibrahim Kalin, as reported by TASS.
“We evaluate the first results of negotiations with Syria, which have taken place between military officials, positively. This will be followed by a meeting of foreign ministers, after which a meeting of the two countries' leaders may take place,” Kalin stated during an appearance on NTV.
According to him, it is still unknown where the expected meeting will take place.
