VIDEO: Putin Orders the Raising of Naval Flag on New Fleet Vessels

Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the raising of the flag on new vessels of the naval forces.

Putin stated that the nuclear submarine 'Generalissimo Suvorov', the sea minesweeper 'Anatoly Shlemov', and the small missile ship 'Grad' have been accepted into the Russian naval forces.

"I allow the naval flag to be raised on the ships entering the naval fleet," said Putin.

Earlier, the Kremlin announced that the president would participate in the raising of the naval flag on the vessels of the Russian naval forces and would hear reports from Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu and Commander of the Pacific Fleet Sergey Avakyants. The launch ceremony for the nuclear submarine 'Emperor Alexander III' is also expected.
