US Threatens to Physically Eliminate Russian President, Lavrov Claims

The US is threatening to physically eliminate the president of Russia. This comment was made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in an interview with TASS regarding statements coming from the Pentagon.

Lavrov pointed out the remarks made by unnamed Pentagon officials about the possibility of delivering a "decapitating strike" to the Kremlin. "Some 'unnamed officials' from the Pentagon have actually threatened to deliver a 'decapitating strike' to the Kremlin, which in fact implies a threat of physical destruction of the head of the Russian state," said Lavrov, suggesting that those who harbor such ideas "should think very carefully about the consequences."
