Russian Peacekeeping Force Negotiates with Azerbaijan to Open Lachin Corridor: Russian Defense Ministry

On December 12, the Azerbaijani side closed the Stepanakert-Goris highway. The command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent is negotiating with representatives of Azerbaijan to resume the uninterrupted movement of civilian vehicles along the Stepanakert-Goris road. This was reported in the daily briefing of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

It is noted that the Russian peacekeeping force continues to carry out its tasks in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Russian peacekeepers are monitoring the situation around the clock at thirty observation points and ensuring compliance with the ceasefire regime. No violations have been reported in the area of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.
