Azerbaijan's Blockade Affects Civilians Returning Home via Lachin Corridor

Due to Azerbaijan's blockade of the Lachin Corridor, the only road connecting Artsakh with Armenia and the outside world, 1,100 civilians, including 270 minors, are unable to return to their homes. This was reported by the Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“Through cooperation with the Artsakh government, the Syunik regional administration, and the city of Goris, these individuals have taken refuge in the Syunik region, while some are in villages of the Berdzor subregion in Shushi. Officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs are in constant contact with the citizens,” the statement reads.

Azerbaijan continues to violate the rights of thousands of citizens to free movement, access to medical assistance, and other humanitarian needs with such provocations.
